Ganjar is a 1 Oz smell-proof cannabis storage container with dual-layered airtight smell-proof compartments designed to keep your weed as fresh as humanly possible.

The inner compartment helps to insulate and protect your cannabis from sunlight. The outer compartment is designed to store a humidity pack (without allowing it to contact the herb).

Our Story

Challenge

For a long time, we struggle to find any suitable cannabis storage containers we love. Every cannabis storage container we bought has a few useful features but, at the same time, missing out on other essential elements to keep our cannabis in perfect condition.

So, we have decided to embark on designing our version of the cannabis storage container. Our team spent a year conducting market research with experts in the cannabis industry and cannabis connoisseurs like you to understand what people want in a perfect cannabis storage container.

Approach

Surprisingly, people want more than just a stash jar to keep cannabis fresh and potent. They want the storage container to be user-friendly, aesthetically appealing with a viewing window to inspect the curing process, a separate compartment for humidity pack, a stackable design to hold multiple cannabis strains, and available in various colors.

Solution

Our main challenge was to design a product that includes all the cool features while ensuring the container will keep the cannabis fresh and potent. Our design team at The Green Jars spent endless hours engineering the storage container. We've made over a dozen prototypes tweaking, and fine-tuning ensuring the product will exceed our customers’ expectations.

After two years of product development, we are excited to introduce the best cannabis storage container - Ganjar.

Keep It Mega Fresh & Potent

The best herb is the freshest herb. Ganjar is a unique dual-layered design smell-proof cannabis container that stores up to an ounce of cannabis.

The opaque inner compartment isolates your herb and protects from UV light. We have chosen BPA free, food-grade polypropylene because it does not absorb water, which means that it will not mold or create a breeding ground for other bacteria. Besides, polypropylene is tough, durable, lightweight, and dishwasher safe.

The transparent outer compartment controls humidity by placing the preferred humidity pack inside, so the terpene never deteriorates, and your herb tastes as fresh as the day you bought it—every time. We have chosen BPA free SAN (Styrene Acrylonitrile) because of its lightweight, excellent rigidity, and stiffness properties.

Airtight & Smell Proof

Our team spent more than half of the work engineering the airtight smell-proof lid. On the one hand, we want to keep Ganjar airtight to prevent the aroma from leaking out and air from going in. On the other hand, we want to make it easy for the user to access the content without much effort. With numerous trials and errors, we finally came up with a multi-purpose airtight smell-proof lid for Ganjar.

The airtight smell-proof lid consists of a premium hermetic seal ring, which creates a high vacuum-tight barrier to prevent air passing from going in and out of Ganjar when it's closed. While most containers require 3-4 full turns to close the lid properly, Ganjar only takes 3/4 turn. We call this Twist n’ Seal.

Inspect with Magnifying Lens

During our market research, one of the requested features is people would like to inspect the cannabis curing process. We decided to include a giant magnifying lens so our customers can check their buds up and close.

This feature's biggest challenge is to find a manufacturing process to combine both the magnifying lens and the airtight smell-proof lid without sacrificing the airtight quality, as this is the most crucial feature of the entire design. We found a technique called overmolding, where a single part is created using two or more different materials in combination.

The result was fantastic! With Ganjar, you can take a peek at your buds without ever letting freshness leak!

Very good stash jar, replaced an old mason jar that didn't store as well. This jar is perfect to contain up to 1oz of your stash, the lid is tight enough to prevent contents from getting stale. The magnifying glass is great to see all of the detail of what you keep inside. If you're looking for a new way to store your stash that will impress your friends, I'd highly recommend this product.
